There are many SCFRC sponsored events throughout the year that facilitate meeting and connecting with other members in the frozen and refrigerated foods business and, at the same time, help support worthwhile community charities and causes. SCFRC hosts several events at Orangewood Family Center in Orange every year. In March, we provide and prepare breakfast for all the residents and staff. Every summer we host a barbeque lunch and game day and an ice cream social and in the fall, a pumpkin decorating party. We also support Second Harvest Food Bank and Olive Crest.
Our annual golf tournament raises funds for scholarships awarded by our Foundation to SCFRC members and their immediate family members. Since 2002, the Foundation has awarded over $346,00 to our industry families.
Our January kickoff meeting and June Board of Directors Installation event feature engaging speakers from the frozen and refrigerated foods industry and provide an opportunity to socialize with other members and build business relationships. We also host an annual Holiday Dinner Dance where members and retailers enjoy an evening of fine dining, dancing and networking.
